Richard Maurice Bucke, William James, and Abraham Maslow were three giants of psychology who took a serious interest in oneness experiences. They used different terminology in those days - including cosmic consciousness, mystical experiences, self-actualisation, and peak experiences - but they were referring to the same thing.
